Electricity bills often have a line labelled “reactive power fee”. In Finland, network operators charge a reactive power fee if a company’s fuse size exceeds the operator’s specified threshold. Reactive power fees are billed to private buildings (such as shopping centres, hotels and offices), public-sector entities (universities, government agencies, transportation infrastructure), or municipalities (agencies, hospitals, educational institutions). The good news is that TKF’s solutions eliminate the need to pay reactive power fees.
